OUR PROCESS
We are a commercial herd that has evolved to include a seedstock
production component.
We remain firstly a commercial beef production operation and therefore retain
real world commercial performance parameters in everything we do.
We utilise AI to introduce elite genetics from the best in the world.
We utilise Genomics and parent verification for animal assessment and selection.
We prove every animal through our commercial production system.
Selection is based on meeting measurable performance prerequisites.
To be retained in our herd a female must:
Our practice is to join for 63 days, then preg test and age fetus through
scanning retaining only the first two cycles.
Empties are usually hooked and the late pregnancies go on the box.
Obvious Drys are pulled off at calf marking
ANIMAL HEALTH
Our Animal Health program developed with HVC addresses all known major infectious diseases, parasites and genetic disorders.
- Herd Vaccination program in place for the Clostridial diseases. Vibriosis. Pesti Virus.
- Herd Drench program address worms and fluke.
All sale Bulls are:
- Tested free of Pesti Virus.
- Vaccinated for Vibriosis
- Parent Verified by DNA
- Genomic profiled for more accurate EBVs
- Tested free of genetic conditions and Red Gene, AM (Arthrogryposis Multiplex), CA (Contractual Arachnodactyly), DD (Developmental Duplications), DW (Dwarfism) RG (Red Gene)
- Independently Assessed as structurally sound and Serving Ability Tested
